My name is Shota Nakamura and I was appointed as the president of Tohshin Seiki and Tohshin Technical in January 2023.

Since being founded in 1956, in the spirit of the company motto ”Create and Consider,“　Tohshin Group has taken on the challenge of “first of all, let’s try doing it” and positioning it as a core principle, so that it can meet the needs of our customers that it considers to be “technology partners.”

As a specialized bearing roller manufacturer, Tohshin Seiki keeps a consistent manufacturing line for its full line-up of rollers including Tapered, Cylindrical, Spherical, Needle and Hollow as well as Pins and Shafts.

We also accommodate a wide variety of needs because of our dedication to sub-micron precision and our ability to finely manufacture rollers suitable for their applications in terms of crowning profile, surface details as well as outer diameter difference, etc.

Tohshin Technical’s Centerless Grinders are born from the idea that “If we are going to manufacture high precision rollers, we will also need to manufacture the equipment ourselves.”　That is why Tohshin Technical’s Centerless Grinders are implemented not only in Tohshin Seiki but also in many customers domestically and internationally.

Bearing rollers and Centerless Grinders tend to be thought of as mature technologies, but society as a whole is constantly changing and we are reaching a major turning point. The question we face now is the state of the manufacturing industry in the age of population decline and rising new issues such as carbon neutrality.

With these issues in mind, we intend to propose services and new products which will leverage the synergy of our group’s close relationship between the mass producing plant and the equipment manufacturer.
