At Tohshin, as an organization, we promote health awareness which in turn will lead to employees living a healthy lifestyle.
We will respond to the needs of diverse employees as much as possible.
Since its founding in 1956, the Tohshin Group has upheld the principle of “being a large family,” and for more than 60 years has worked to ensure that its employees are physically and mentally healthy and can work with peace of mind. In 2011, we started a health management program and health guidance program based on the fact that the health risks of our valuable employees are also management risks for the company and that maintaining and improving the health of employees is absolutely necessary for the development and growth of the company.
In April of 2017, Tohshin appointed an industrial public health nurse, who from a professional point of view has helped to improve the health literacy of employees, improve facilities within the company and has been meticulous in following up the health reports of employees and providing advice. However, faced with the increased spread of the corona virus, we felt the need to rapidly increase our efforts in this regard. By shifting from an independent in-house health promotion system to a joint effort that collaborates with local organizations, we were both able to strengthen and rapidly increase the speed of implementation which resulted in many significant achievements such as implementing a 3 stage workplace vaccination conducted in joint efforts with local small businesses, local medical institutions and public organizations.
These efforts were also recognized by the Ishikawa Employers Association who awarded us with the “Kagayaki Company Award 2022.”
From 2023 onwards, we at Tohshin Group plan not only to reform and strengthen through synergy but also to manage a new pillar that focuses on “sound management, long-term trust and social presence.”
By sound management, we mean “safety first, health management and sound finances.“ With health management specifically, in August of 2022, we appointed a board member in charge of health management.
Tohshin Group’s principal philosophy is to “pursue physical and spiritual well-being of all employees and through our joint efforts contribute to the development of humanity and society.” When putting this philosophy into practice, investing in and working on the health of our employees is an important issue and we will continue to grow as a healthy company and aim to improve the well-being of employees and their families as well as our contribution to society. This is something we hope to achieve with the strength of all our employees.
